Top Thai military official visits China for talks

Liu Zhenli, a member of China's Central Military Commission and chief of staff of the commission's Joint Staff Department, held talks on Thursday with Songwit Noonpakdee, supreme commander of the Thai Armed Forces, according to the Chinese Ministry of National Defense.
Songwit Noonpakdee is on an official visit to China.
In a brief statement, the ministry said the two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, including bilateral military relations and the broader international and regional situation.
The two parties reached "important consensus" on enhancing strategic communication and deepening cooperation in joint exercises and training.
