On May 14, a driverless paver and six autonomous rollers started work at a freeway construction site in the Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Guizhou province.
The new expressway will link the provincial capital, Guiyang, with Pingtang county. A fully autonomous paving fleet is working on the road for the first time in Guizhou's history. The system is powered by Beidou navigation, intelligent algorithms, and real-time monitoring and is expected to boost construction efficiency.
