Festival raises a cheer to beer

The "Bubbles and Fizz" Craft Beer Festival is currently being held at SKP-S, a luxury shopping complex in Beijing, featuring a selection of 120 craft samples from both international and domestic breweries. The event highlights the growing presence and diversification of craft beer culture in the capital.
Among the participating breweries is Mikkeller, a Danish craft beer producer ranked among the world's top 10 breweries by RateBeer. Another international participant is Monkish, a California-based brewery known for its hazy IPAs. Monkish emphasizes freshness as a defining quality of its beers, maintaining a production-to-consumption cycle of less than one month.

The event also features a range of Chinese craft beer brands. These include Suapobbe, a Xiamen-based brewery known for incorporating elements of Minnan culture and coastal themes into its products, and Quadraft, recognized for its experimental approach to brewing and focus on artisanal techniques.
In addition to tasting, the festival includes several public engagement activities such as a craft beer culture exhibition, live DJ performances, recreational pickleball challenges, and branded merchandise giveaways. The event is scheduled to run through to Sunday.
