Beijing to host first Xiangshan Forum navigator meeting
The high-end security conference Beijing Xiangshan Forum will hold a navigator meeting, the first of its kind, in Beijing from April 28 to 30, a defense spokesman announced on Thursday.
Zhang Xiaogang, a Defense Ministry spokesman, said in a news conference in Beijing that the meeting's theme is Opportunities and Challenges Facing Global Security.
Over 200 defense officials, experts, scholars and media representatives from more than 30 countries and international organizations will attend the event, he said.
Through multilateral seminars and dialogues, the meeting aims to contribute insights to global security governance, said Zhang noted.
Some bilateral and multilateral meetings as well as cultural and technological visits will also be held on the sideline of the event, the spokesman said.
