Theatres renew partnership, celebrate 10 years

CPAA Theatres and Zhuhai Huafa have extended their partnership for Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre,marking a decade of collaboration.

To foster a regional arts market, CPAA Theatres have developed five venues in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The renewed partnership with Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre focuses on cultural growth and sustained cooperation.

Since its establishment in 2014, the theatre has become a cultural landmark, hosting over 1,000 performances and attracting 800,000 attendees. Renowned productions include Giacomo Puccini's eternal Turandot, an Italian opera which describes an imaginary Chinese story through Westerners' eyes, and performances by the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside diverse international and domestic productions.

The partnership has boosted Zhuhai's cultural profile and strengthened cultural exchange in the Greater Bay Area. By combining CPAA Theatres' expertise with Huafa's local influence, the theatre has brought world-class performances to the region.

Looking ahead, CPAA Theatres and Huafa will deepen their cooperation in programming, cultural industry integration, and talent development, aiming to further establish Zhuhai as a leading arts destination and enhance cultural prosperity in the region.
