Legoland Shanghai Resort enters final construction phase
The Legoland Shanghai Resort has entered the final construction phase for its opening in summer, with 80 percent of ride equipment installed and half of the 24 rides now in the commissioning phase, according to the resort.
More than 2,100 workers are engaged in concurrent operations at the site during peak hours. Installation and testing of rides are progressing rapidly, highlighted by the completion of the world's largest Lego Minifigure Dada, towering 26 meters tall and weighing 136 tons.
The classic Legoland ride, Dragon Coaster, has been fully installed, while its companion attraction, the Dragon's Apprentice Coaster designed for younger visitors, is undergoing testing. The 60-meter Legoland Lookout Tower, set to offer panoramic views of the resort, has also entered its testing phase.
