8 killed, 15 injured in market fire in North China's Hebei

A fire that broke out around 8:40 am on Saturday at a vegetable market has killed 8 and injured 15 in Zhangjiakou, North China's Hebei province, according to a statement released by the local government.
The flames at the market in the city's Qiaoxi district had been extinguished as of 10:10 am, and the on-site rescue work was completed at 12:50 pm.
The injured had been taken to the hospital for treatment and currently their conditions are not life-threatening, the statement by Qiaoxi district's government said.
The cause of the fire is under further investigation.
