On Sept 14, Chinese Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Xiaodong delivered a keynote speech at the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum.
He highlighted the broad popularity of the China-proposed Global Security Initiative among the international community, as well as the substantial and significant achievements the initiative has made in key areas of cooperation, citing a report on the implementation progress of the initiative.
He noted that the initiative is evolving from a Chinese initiative to an international consensus, and from a promising vision to substantive actions.
