3 dead, 3 injured in North China house explosion

SHIJIAZHUANG -- Three people were killed and three others injured following an explosion at a residential house in Handan city in North China's Hebei province on Wednesday morning, according to local authorities.
The explosion happened at around 6:05 am at the residential house located in Yecheng township in Linzhang county, the Handan emergency management bureau said.
According to the emergency management authorities in Linzhang county, the explosion severely damaged the residential house and nearby vehicles, and shattered the glass of other nearby houses.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at the hospital and are not in life-threatening condition.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
