Top procuratorate orders arrest of former Hunan legislator for suspected bribery

BEIJING -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate has ordered the arrest of Peng Guofu, a former senior legislator of Central China's Hunan province, on suspicion of taking bribes.
Peng formerly served as vice chairman of the standing committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress.
The case was transferred to the procuratorial authorities for review and prosecution after the National Commission of Supervision concluded its investigation, the SPP said on Friday.
