BEIJING -- Chen Yuxiang, a former anti-graft official in North China's Hebei province, has been arrested on suspicion of bribery, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Wednesday.
Upon the designation of the SPP, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Procuratorate ordered the arrest of Chen, who formerly served as a deputy head of Hebei's discipline inspection commission and provincial commission of supervision.
The case was handed over to the prosecutors for examination and prosecution following the conclusion of an investigation carried out by the National Commission of Supervision, the SPP said.
Chen has been expelled from the Party and removed from public office, according to an official statement released last month.
