Republic of Peru President to pay state visit to China

President Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra of the Republic of Peru will pay a state visit to China, starting from Tuesday.
The visit is the first of its kind since Boluarte took office in 2022. She intends to meet Chinese leaders during the five-day visit.
Speaking at a daily news briefing on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said China is willing to use this visit to further consolidate political mutual trust with Peru and deepen mutually beneficial and pragmatic cooperation in various fields.
It's hoped to promote the China-Peru comprehensive strategic partnership to achieve more positive outcomes so as to benefit peoples of both countries, Mao added.
