Suspect in stabbing incident apprehended
The suspect involved in a stabbing at Jilin's Beishan Park on Monday has been arrested by the police, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The police said they received a report on the attack in Beishan Park of Jilin city in Jilin province at 11:49, where five people were injured.
All the injured, including four foreigners, have received proper medical treatment and are not in critical condition. The case is currently under further investigation.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Cui had collided with a foreign national while walking in the park. He then used a knife to attack the foreign national, as well as three other foreigners who were with the initial victim.
A Chinese tourist who attempted to intervene was also injured.
The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
