After two years of implementing a hybrid working model, major travel agency Trip.com Group reports it has helped its employees cut commute time by 700,000 hours altogether and raise work efficiency. The agency launched the initiative that allows its employees to choose two days to work at home, in February 2022, and more than 80 percent of those born after in the 21st century have applied. The company found that the work efficiency of these young people has not been significantly affected, while the focus and output of some individuals had even improved.

Liang Jianzhang, chairman of the board at Trip.com Group, says: "Promoting hybrid work is a win-win situation for enterprises, employees, and society. Not only does it improve employee satisfaction without affecting efficiency, but it also helps reduce traffic congestion, alleviates high housing prices and regional disparities, promotes family harmony, increases fertility rates."
