Promotional event held for Taiwan investment on mainland

BEIJING -- A publicity and promotion event for Taiwan investment on the mainland was held in Beijing on Wednesday, under the joint guidance of the Ministry of Commerce and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
During the event, relevant departments and institutions were invited to interpret the mainland's policies to attract investment, enhance integration between Fujian and Taiwan, and support Taiwan compatriots and medium and small-sized businesses. The departments and institutions also made presentations on the investment environments of key mainland provinces, regions and cities.
Vice Commerce Minister Guo Tingting said at the event that the mainland will increase policy support to boost high-standard opening-up, optimize the investment environment for Taiwan businesses to integrate into the domestic economy, and deepen integrated development of the cross-Strait economy and trade.
Noting that there are new opportunities for Taiwan compatriots and businesses on the mainland, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Chen Yuanfeng called on them to work together to bring cross-Strait relations back onto the right track of peaceful development.
Lee Cheng-hung, president of the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, urged Taiwan businesses to integrate actively into the mainland's high-quality development and work together to boost the economy of the Chinese nation.
