New railway link in northwestern Sichuan boosts regional connectivity

The Qingbaijiangdong-Zhenjiangguan section of the Sichuan-Qinghai Railway, which connects Chengdu, Sichuan province, and Xi'ning, Qinghai province, started operation on Tuesday morning.
Qingbaijiangdong is in Chengdu and Zhenjiangguan is in Songpan county in the Aba Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture in Sichuan.
The Qingbaijiangdong-Zhenjiangguan section is 206 kilometers long, with a total of 10 stations including Sanxingdui, Anzhou, and Maoxian in Sichuan.
The fastest route from the Chengdudong Railway Station in Chengdu to the Sanxingdui and Zhenjiangguan stations is 18 minutes and 86 minutes respectively.
This is the first railway connection in northwestern Sichuan, and it will greatly facilitate the travel of people from all ethnic groups along the route.
