Humanitarian crisis worsening in Gaza

As the Israel-Palestine conflict enters its second week, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians trapped in the Gaza Strip are running out of food, clothing and water, fuel and medical supplies. However, trucks carrying aid were stopped by Israel at the border between Egypt and Gaza.
Hospitals in Gaza are expected to run out of fuel in the next 24 hours and medical supplies such as painkillers have run out, with thousands of patients in critical condition and doctors refusing to evacuate to care for the critically ill and newborns on ventilators, United Nations authorities said Monday.
