"It also endorses the regular organization of the Global Sustainable Transport Forum and build it as an important international ministerial forum to enhance global transportation cooperation," he said.
A global sustainable transport innovation alliance has been set up during the summit. A total of 42 companies and organizations from China and abroad have agreed to join the alliance as the founding members, covering different fields such as road, water transport, railway, civil aviation and postal service.
"The alliance, initiated by the ministry's Global Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge Center, is a non-profit international organization, aiming to gather and integrate resources of governments, enterprises, think tanks and other social sectors from China and abroad. It aims to build a communication platform for countries, society and enterprises," said Liu Peng, deputy director of the center.
