Party chief of Shanghai congress under probe

Dong Yunhu, Party chief and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, is suspected of seriously violating Party discipline and the nation's laws and is currently undergoing investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision, the CCDI announced on Wednesday.
Dong, 60, is a native of Xianju, Zhejiang province. He spent much of his career working in publicity departments before he was transferred to the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress earlier this year.
