Over 500 media organizations, ranging from central news agencies to county-level media centers, issued their social responsibility report for 2022 this year.

It has witnessed an increase of over one hundred media agencies compared to the previous year.

Additionally, several provinces, including Heilongjiang, Shaanxi and Hunan, expanded the coverage of their reports to include media outlets at the provincial, municipal and county levels.

The Media Social Responsibility Report for 2022 was also recently released, which is the 10th consecutive media social responsibility report since its launch in 2014.

It shows that the news sector has played a vital role in disseminating the Party's theories, guidelines and policies, especially the major themes such as the publicizing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, as well as coordinating efforts in epidemic prevention and control, and economic and social development.

The news engagers have continuously consolidated the mainstream ideology and public opinion in the new era and demonstrated the good image and new achievements of the news sector via practice, providing a strong ideological guarantee and strong spiritual strength for the start of building a modern socialist China.

The news agencies reported on aspects such as politics, responsibility, service responsibility, humanistic care responsibility, cultural responsibility and moral responsibility.

The media social responsibility reporting system has been continuously improved over the past decade, and the awareness of social responsibility of all types of news media at all levels has been continuously strengthened, effectively promoting the development of the news undertakings and the construction of news teams in the new era.
