Central guiding group for Party education campaign holds seminar on research, studies

BEIJING -- A seminar on the fact-finding research and studies work was held in Beijing on Sunday by the guiding group of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee for the education campaign on the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

The seminar underlined the need for all localities and government departments to faithfully study and implement important expositions and instructions made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, regarding the matter.

Li Ganjie, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and executive deputy chief of the campaign's central leading group, attended the seminar and delivered remarks.

The seminar urged efforts to promote pragmatism and improve the quality and effectiveness of research and study. It also urged new ideas and new approaches to solve problems with the spirit of reform and innovation.

Efforts should be made to translate the results of research and studies into real achievements in the promotion of high-quality development, in the resolution of practical problems that are of the greatest and most direct concern to the people, in the prevention and defusion of risks, and in exercising full and rigorous Party self-governance, according to the seminar.
