China Coast Guard steps up law enforcement patrols off Huangyan Island

The China Coast Guard conducted law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters around China's Huangyan Island and surrounding areas in the South China Sea on Tuesday.
Since June, the CCG has continued to strengthen law enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of Huangyan Island and surrounding areas, it said in a statement.
The CCG has handled illegal and infringing vessels in accordance with laws and regulations, further strengthened control over relevant waters, and resolutely safeguarded national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, the statement added.
