Beijing International Youth Innovation and Development Forum creates platform for talent exchange
As a parallel forum of the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum, the forum focused on the field of talent and had the theme of "Bringing together innovative strength and empowering youth development". The forum aimed to gather consensus in support of the international youth development and foster a collaborative effort to promote the sharing of global innovation resources.
Representatives from the Ministry of Education, China Daily, Beijing municipal leadership, diplomas, and a Nobel laureate attended the forum and delivered speeches.
The forum highlighted promoting global cooperation and exchange of innovative resources, exploring international innovative talent development models, and expanding the appeal of Beijing to overseas talents.
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and Beijing Overseas Talents Center signed a cooperative framework agreement for the government-funded talent training project in Beijing. This marks the first collaboration between the CSC and a non-educational institution in Beijing to carry out a local cooperation project for national scholarships for studying abroad.
It is also an experimental initiative by the CSC, choosing Beijing as a pilot city, to explore and reform the selection and dispatching mode of national scholarships for studying abroad in non-educational sectors.
