Leaders vow to advance China-Kyrgyzstan trade

Premier Li Qiang stressed on Friday China's willingness to enhance connectivity in trade with Kyrgyzstan and boost bilateral cooperation over industries, people-to-people exchanges and security during a meeting with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Beijing.

Li told Japarov, who is in China on a state visit and also attending the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, that the two sides should move forward with all-round cooperation and high-quality development, and jointly implement outcomes from the Xi'an summit.

The two nations elevated their ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era during Japarov's visit.

The Kyrgyz president told Li that relations between the two countries are currently at a historic best level, and his country remains steadfast in supporting China over issues concerning its core interests.

He expressed readiness to deepen across-the-board cooperation with China to further grow bilateral ties, adding that it is his belief that the China-Central Asia Summit will further contribute to regional and global peace and development.

Japarov also met with Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in Beijing on Friday.

He said he believes China will continue to improve its national strength and international influence, and attain glory through high-quality development.

He said Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to ties with China, and looks forward to deepening cooperation in various sectors and elevating the relationship to new heights.

Wang told Japarov that the two nations should firmly support each other, expand all-round cooperation, deepen coordination in security and scale up people-to-people exchanges.
