A professor of Southeast University in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, was dismissed on Monday for allegedly posting a photo of a nude female in a WeChat group.
The photo was sent by Yuan Jiuhong, director of the publicity department and dean of the School of Marxism at Southeast University, to a chat group that had 332 people, most of whom were college workers, the university said.
The screenshot of the chat room went viral on the internet before the university announced that Yuan had been dismissed. It added that a team had been formed to investigate the incident, and the result would be released to the public soon.
