BEIJING -- World leaders and international organization chiefs continued to extend congratulations to Xi Jinping on his election as president of the People's Republic of China.

Philippine President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos said the Philippines values its relations with China and looks forward to strengthening bilateral ties in the future, so as to achieve mutual benefit, regional peace, stability and prosperity.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog said both Israel and China are ancient civilizations and share robust relations, adding that his country is committed to deepening Israel-China partnership.

Governor-General of Australia David Hurley said maintaining stable development of relations between Australia and China will benefit both countries and promote regional and global peace and security.

He looks forward to working with Xi to continue developing the Australia-China comprehensive strategic partnership.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative that Xi put forward bring hope for building a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous world.

The Thai side stands ready to cooperate with China closely and jointly build a more stable, prosperous and sustainable Thailand-China community with a shared future, he added.
