Forum discusses how art can invigorate rural construction

Huangchuan, a historic county in Henan province, is home to archaeological sites that can be traced back to the Neolithic age. It also boasts rich agricultural resources.

A recent forum held in Huangchuan teamed up members of governmental bodies, cultural institutions and academic circles to brainstorm solutions for invigorating rural scenery, life and governance with art.

Attendants shared their analysis of the county's strengths in developing tourism and eco-development, and model examples in other provinces, such as Zhejiang, where means of cultural creativity and regular art events have helped make the best of a countryside's resources.
