Luo Jiansheng, or Peter Law, a Chinese-Canadian painter born in Foshan, Guangdong province, has been living abroad for decades. Still, he always thinks of his hometown when the Lantern Festival arrives and always hopes to celebrate this occasion at home. For this year’s Lantern Festival, he and his wife returned to Foshan and participated in the folk activity, Crossing the Tongji Bridge. The artist even created an ink painting depicting the liveliness surrounding this Foshan folk activity, expressing his eternal love for his hometown.
