PRESIDENT XI JINPING:

・ China is ready to bring forward the friendship with the Philippines, carry on cooperation, and be jointly dedicated to rejuvenating respective national development, thus writing a new chapter of China-Philippines friendliness.

・ The two sides should keep deepening the synergy between their development strategies and strengthen cooperation in such areas as clean energy, education and public health.

・ China will expand the imports of more quality agricultural byproducts from the Philippines.

・ The two sides should take more practical measures for closer people-to-people exchanges and to consolidate the public foundation for bilateral friendship.

・ On the South China Sea issue, China and the Philippines should be committed to friendly consultations and appropriately deal with differences and disputes.

・ As developing countries in Asia, China and the Philippines should be strategically independent, uphold peace, openness and inclusiveness, and maintain the general direction of regional cooperation.

・ The two sides should work together to oppose unilateralism and acts of bullying, safeguard fairness and justice and maintain regional peace and stability.

PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT FERDINAND ROMUALDEZ MARCOS:

・ Xi's reelection as general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee will not only bring more stability for the country's future, but also will benefit the region and the world at large.

・ The Philippines looks to work with China to expand cooperation in areas including infrastructure, energy, agriculture and cultural exchanges to build a more steady and robust bilateral relationship.

・ The two sides should promote communications on maritime disputes, and the whole of the Philippines-China relationship should not be represented by disputes at sea.

・ The Philippines will continue to follow the one-China principle, adhere to an independent foreign policy and never take sides.
