Tianjin to hold second internet civilization conference
The 2022 China Internet Civilization Conference will be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin from Aug 28 to 29, a senior internet regulator announced on Tuesday.
Sheng Ronghua, deputy head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, said that the conference will include a main forum, a network integrity summit, 10 sub-forums and an exhibition of China's achievements in "building a better cyberspace in the new era".
Government departments, companies, organizations and celebrities involved the internet sector will attend, he said.
"Participants will share ideas on 10 timely internet-related topics, such as how to fight online rumors and how to better protect personal information online, during the conference," he added.
It is the second time the conference, a call to use the internet in a civilized manner and clean up the online environment, has been organized. It was first held in Beijing in November last year.
