UK braced for another heat wave

Temperatures will remain lower than last month's record-breaking 40C but warm weather in the UK will continue for a "prolonged period", the Met Office said.

Last Saturday, 40 people were forced to flee their properties due to a heat wave-connected blaze that damaged more than a dozen homes.

And barbecues, car washing, watering gardens, and filling pools have all been banned in some areas amid the tinder-dry conditions.
