Two killed in test vehicle accident

A test vehicle for electric carmaker Nio fell from an office building in Shanghai on Wednesday, killing the two people inside, local news outlet The Paper reported on Thursday.
The accident took place at the Auto Innovation Park in Jiading district at around 5 pm Wednesday, and videos of firefighters trying to rescue people from the sedan been have circulating on social media platform Sina Weibo since then.
The Paper said it learned from authorities the car had fallen from third floor of the No 8 building in the innovation park.
Though the two were rushed to the Anting branch of Shanghai Oriental Hepatic Surgery Hospital, both were pronounced dead.
The accident is still under investigation.
