New cases in Beijing reported

Beijing reported three new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and two asymptomatic cases on Monday, according to the city's health commission on Tuesday morning.

One of the three cases is from Fengtai district and the other two are from Changping district.

In addition, Daxing district, in the city's south, reported one positive case from the nucleic acid test in Laosanyu village in Xihongmen on Monday, according to Beijing Daily on Tuesday morning.

Residents are no longer allowed to enter or leave the village; this started at 6 am on Tuesday.

The city's government will hold a news conference later on Tuesday afternoon to give more information.
