China's State Council removes Lee Ka-chiu from HKSAR gov't post

BEIJING -- China's State Council has decided to remove Lee Ka-chiu from the post of chief secretary for administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.
The decision, made on Thursday, was in accordance with the HKSAR Basic Law, and based on the suggestion of HKSAR Chief Executive Carrie Lam.
