Rumor: A neighborhood committee in Shanghai had sold 200,000 boxes of donated food supplies.

Fact: The claims, which are false, were made by a man surnamed Chen, according to the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau. The bureau has clarified that the food supplies were purchased by the neighborhood committee for its residents. Chen has been slapped with an administrative penalty for picking quarrels and provoking trouble, according to the announcement by the bureau on Thursday.
