Pfizer recalling 3 blood pressure drugs over potential cancer risk

Biopharmaceutical company Pfizer is recalling its popular blood pressure medication Accuretic and two authorized generic drugs — quinapril and hydrochlorothiazide and quinapril HCl/ hydrochlorothiazide — because the level of nitrosamine in these drugs is higher than acceptable levels and may cause cancer, Pfizer said in a recent statement.
