China should set up a national food security belt on its Northeast Plain, North China Plain and Middle and Lower Yangtze River plains to break the two bottlenecks in arable land and seeds, and improve grain production capacity. The country can also promote deep grain processing and efficient breeding to improve yields, and establish grain transportation corridors to connect national grain reserves and processing bases in an efficient supply chain that can produce and transfer products quickly.
