A cultural festival held by the culture and tourism bureau of Beijing's Haidian district kicked off on Tuesday to welcome the upcoming the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the Spring Festival.
The event's opening ceremony was held in Haidian Park where visitors saw various performances that focused on the thriving ice and snow sports in China.
Meanwhile, an exhibition showcasing the history of China's participation in the Winter Olympics and introducing famous domestic athletes in ice and snow sports was also unveiled to help people know more about the country's connect with the international event over the long course of history.
People can also experience curling and ice hockey games as well as VR skiing in the park.
