China handled 1.88 billion parcels during the three-day New Year holiday, a strong start to kick off the industrial year, the State Postal Bureau of China said on Tuesday.
From Saturday to Monday, the industry received 920 million parcels, a year-on-year increase of 22.6 percent, and delivered 960 million parcels, a year-on-year growth of 26.5 percent, the bureau said.
China's parcel delivery sector handled more than 100 billion parcels last year and set a goal to handle 150 billion in 2025.
