Huangshan-Milazzo friendship city ties established at conference
The Third Huangshan Development Conference opened on Nov 21 in Huangshan, East China's Anhui province, with the theme of "Creative Huangshan - Convene intelligence for the future".
At the conference, Sun Yong, mayor of Huangshan, signed a memorandum of friendly cooperation via video call with Pippo Midili, mayor of Milazzo, Italy, marking the establishment of a friendship city relationship between the cities.
The memorandum states that the two cities will launch a variety of cooperation in the fields of tourism development, heritage preservation and cultural exchange, so as to promote joint development.
In recent years, Huangshan has been enhancing its international exchange with other cities around the globe. So far, it has established friendship city relationships with six cities from six different countries.
