Chinese president appoints new ambassadors

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping has appointed two new ambassadors in accordance with a decision by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement from China's top legislature on Tuesday.
Chen Mingjian was appointed ambassador to the United Republic of Tanzania, replacing Wang Ke.
Xiao Junzheng was appointed ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, replacing Zhang Qiyue.
