The leading aircraft maker in the country – Aviation Industry Corp of China – will display a large number of advanced aircraft and weapons at the 13th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, the largest arms show in the nation, according to the company.

In a news release distributed at a news conference on Monday in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province, where the biennial exhibition will take place from Tuesday to Sunday, the State-owned defense conglomerate said it will bring about 140 domestically developed fighter jets, helicopters, drones, missiles and other equipment to the event.

For the first time, nearly 40 percent of the hardware will appear in the exhibition, popularly known as the Zhuhai Airshow, the statement said.

New exhibits will include the WZ-7, WZ-8 and GJ-11 combat drones, which have been deemed as the biggest stars in all unmanned aircraft present at the event.

The J-20 stealth fighter jet, Y-20 strategic transport plane, H-6K long-range bomber and JL-10 trainer aircraft also will be shown to visitors.

In addition, an AG600 seaplane prototype is set to conduct its debut flight show at the exhibition and will perform fire-suppression maneuvers, according to the company.
