New books on history published

Three books about the brief history of the People's Republic of China, Reform and Opening Up and the development of socialism were officially published on Monday.

The books cover the 70-plus year history of the PRC, the 40-plus year history of reform and opening up and the 500-plus year history of exploration of socialism as traced back to the Utopian visions of the 16th Century, in an accurate, profound and concise manner.

The brief history of the People's Republic of China, with 7 chapters and 40 sections, is jointly published by the People's Publishing House and the Contemporary China Publishing House.

The brief history of reform and opening-up consists of 7 chapters and 44 sections and is jointly published by the People's Publishing House and the China Social Sciences Press.

The brief history of the development of socialism is jointly published by the People's Publishing House and the Xuexi Publishing House, and is composed of 8 chapters and 39 sections.
