Shanghai government: 14-day quarantine for travelers from high risk areas
People traveling to Shanghai from high COVID-19 risk areas are required to report to residential communities or designated hotels within 12 hours upon arrival and undergo a 14-day quarantine, the municipal government reiterated on Thursday.
These individuals must be quarantined at designated facilities for 14 days and take two COVID-19 tests, said the city's epidemic prevention and control office.
People from middle risk areas are encouraged to stay in and avoid going out unless necessary. They must also report their health condition every day and take two COVID-19 tests.
The office also instructed public institutions such as schools and universities to adopt stricter prevention measures and urged citizens not to travel to middle or high risk areas within China or overseas.
