China Daily reporter Jocelyn Eikenburg is on a 10-day interview tour to Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
The first stop is the Ancient City of Kashgar, one of the best-known tourist attractions in the city.
Apart from the Ancient City's architecture, handcrafts and food that have brought throngs of tourists, the reporter focuses on women who live and work there.
This video is the first episode of a series that records her trip in Xinjiang, where she will have conversations with women across the region.
