SEOUL - South Korean President Moon Jae-in on Friday received his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a public health center in Seoul, according to the presidential Blue House.

The first jab was administered to Moon on March 23.

The president got the second shot earlier than usual as the date of his US trip for summit talks with US President Joe Biden was fixed.

Chung Man-ho, senior presidential secretary for public communication, told a press briefing that Moon is slated to visit Washington for summit talks with Biden on May 21 at the White House at Biden's invitation.
