What's behind anti-Asian violence? A Chinese-American writer offers analysis

Eight people, six of whom were Asian, were killed in a series of shooting incidents at three massage parlors in the Atlanta, Georgia, USA on March 16, 2021. The resurgence of Asian-Americans as victims of violence and hate crimes has raised concerns across the country.

It's time to stop racial hatred against Asian-Americans since the pandemic outbreak, and Asian communities have to break the silence to defend their safety and rights, says Berlin Fang, a US columnist based in Texas, adding that an improvement of China-US ties can help anti-Asian sentiment decline in the US.
