Hospitals take measures after workers receive suspicious COVID-19 test results
Two hospitals in downtown Shanghai have announced that they will suspend outpatient clinic services starting on Thursday.
The two hospitals are the Shanghai Cancer Center Affiliated with Fudan University in Xuhui district and the west branch of Renji Hospital Affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical School in Huangpu district.
The information office of the Shanghai municipal government said that one worker at each of the hospitals were found to have suspicious test results for their nucleic acid tests during a regular screening of hospital staff.
Further clinical examination and a second nucleic acid test for COVID-19 have been carried out on the two individuals. Close contact tracing and epidemiological investigation are also underway, according to a government notice.
