Over 1,000 Macao high school graduates recruited to mainland universities

MACAO -- A total of 1,108 senior high school graduates of Macao Special Administrative Region have been recruited to universities in the Chinese mainland for this year, according to the Higher Education Bureau of Macao.
With recommendations from their schools, altogether 1,192 graduates from 43 senior high schools of Macao sat the exam for 98 mainland universities that offered 1,215 places in total, said the bureau.
Figures showed universities in Guangdong, Beijing and Hubei recruited the most students. Disciplines of medicine, teaching, economics, management and news reporting ranked the top in terms of the number of recruited students, said the bureau.
