Good deed warms hands and hearts in chilly winter

Many of her customers expressed their sympathy for the deliveryman working in the harsh winter, and were deeply moved by his simple wish as a father.
Heartwarming comments poured in, such as: "Life is not easy but none of us give up!", "It's not an easy job. His hands were frozen", "Thumbs up for hard-working people." and "Show more understanding for deliverymen."
Quite a few customers contacted Ma via WeChat and offered to pay for the deliveryman's cake and buy more desserts and hot tea for him. Some even transferred money to help more people like him.
The deliveryman didn't come back that day. But the day after, Ma got in touch with him to convey her customers' kindness, and invited him to receive the cake customized for his daughter and other desserts and drinks.
When they met again at the shop, Ma learned more about the deliveryman through chats, finding out he is a migrant worker from Gansu province surnamed She, and his daughter is a middle high school student.
She said he is thankful for everybody's kindness. "I just did what I should do, and I didn't expect so much caring."
Ma wrote another post for her WeChat friend circle with photos of the deliveryman taking the cake for her daughter and other desserts. It said “we have delivered your kindness and the winter has become warmer because of all of you.”
"There are a lot of people who are kind and spread positive energy. At first, I just want to do something for She in my own name, but it created a little sensation unexpectedly," Ma said.
Ma's dessert shop received more than 600 yuan (about $91.6) in donations from her customers. She said they will set up an special account with this money and offer some help for deliverymen, sanitation workers and other people in need.
"I will pass on the kindness. I will tell every deliverymen coming to my shop when the weather is bad or you need some help, you can enter our shop and we will prepare you a hot drink or a dessert. Warm yourself up here before continuing your work," she said.
